Royal Canadian Mint

The Royal Canadian Mint can be found on the Ottawa River, just next to the National Gallery of Canada.

The mint currently produces special-edition coins and investment pieces.  Production of regular Canadian coins is done elsewhere.

Visitors to the Royal Canadian Mint can take a tour of the facility.  The best time to visit is on weekdays, when coins are being manufactured.
