The East Block was the heart of the Canadian government for the first 100 years of Canada's history. It is home to the offices of Sir John A. Macdonald, Canada's first prime minister.
Visitors to the East block can visit a number of heritage rooms and learn about the evolution of Canada's parliamentary democracy.
Guided tours of the East Block are available from July to early September. Tickets are available free at 90 Wellington Street.
